Putting climbing at the heart of the community
ClimbingWe are passionate about climbing, and passionate about people.
Our goal is to create a friendly and welcoming space for people throughout our community and beyond to enjoy the benefits of climbing. At Dynamic Rock we pride ourselves on creating a social atmosphere where you can share experiences, chat and pass on skills and tips. We have a roped climbing area with 23 lines with 50+ routes ranging from easy to Pro level. We also have two Auto Belays and a small bouldering room. |
CommunityAs a not-for-profit enterprise we are all about community and getting people climbing.
We work hard to create a welcoming space that allows people from all walks of life to enjoy the health, fitness and welbeing benefits that climbing brings. We run free funded sessions for some user groups and are always looking for more ways to support groups we don't currently engage with, so get in touch if you would like to work together. |
PeopleDynamic Rock is run by Helen, Matt and their amazing team of instructors.
They took over in 2023, having both been involved with the centre in different ways since it opened back in 2006. Their aim really is to put climbing at the heart of the community, to ensure that as many people as possible benefit from this fantastic facility and that we can support our climbing and wider community. |
Balcony Café
Set on the mezzanine, our Balcony Café has the best view in the centre. Overlooking the main climbing walls it is a place for both climbers and visitors to relax, sit back and watch others do the hard work whilst enjoying a coffee and cake.
It’s open to everyone, not just climbers, and is dog friendly! Serving a range of teas and Gower coffee alongside chocolate bars, crisps, snack bars and delicious vegan (and nut free) brownies with books to read and toys for the little ones. If you’re waiting for the other half or the kids why not bring your laptop and make use of our free wi-fi to catch up on some emails whilst you enjoy a coffee. The space can also be used for meetings and workshops. Over the last year it has hosted yoga classes, business away days, willow workshops, Christmas wreath making, glass decoration, art classes and a crochet group. |
