The National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes. NICAS is a nationally accredited scheme designed to show progression from a novice climbing safely under supervision at level 1, through to lead climbing and competing at level 5. It is an ideal way to show progression and development of a skill and many teenagers use their logbooks as evidence for Duke of Edinburgh’s Award or GCSE PE. Participants pay a fee of £10 to register for the scheme and for their NICAS logbook. Levels 1 & 2 are taught through our Young Climbers Club which runs 5 times a week. Levels 3, 4 & 5 are taught through dedicated sessions which you can book online. |
