Over the winter of 2023/24 Swansea Council’s Sport & Health funded a weekly over 60s climbing session. Starting with a chat over coffee and a brownie in the cafe, participants have then enjoyed a climbing session tailored to their interests. For some it’s been a one-off taster of an adventurous activity but for others it’s become a regular meet up to develop their climbing skills. These sessions are being repeated over the winter of 2024/25 - Beginners before Christmas and Improvers in January and March 2025 (Improvers sessions are for people who have completed a number of Beginner sessions and/or have demonstrated basic top roping and belay skills).
